Protect the world from Squirrel Nudity

How amazing are these Squirrel Underpants

Practical? Probably not.
Necessary? Probably.

All I know is this guy could use some:

Seth Meyers at Treasure Island, MN

For my husbands birthday, we went to see Seth Meyers at Treasure Island. Having never seen him live, we were both pretty excited about it. Seth is one of my favorite of the SNL cast so it was exciting to be able to see him outside of Weekend Update.

He delivered a traditional stand up routine. He opened with a handful of political digs - especially some too Minnesota flavored jokes. We are the home of Michelle Bachman after all. The other part of the stand up that I particularly enjoyed was talking about how his life has changed since he lived with his girlfriend. Having been living with my husband for just under a year, we could relate to a lot of what he was talking about.

He topped off the set with a great treat. He read a few jokes form Weekend Update deemed too controversial for television. They were great - and a perfect ending. If you ever get the chance to catch his stand up, I recommend it.

Wreck It Ralph

Have you seen Wreck It Ralph? It is absolutely fantastic. The story is everything you could ask for in an animated storyline - happiness, suspense, action, humor! It's a story about a bad guy (Ralph) in a video game who after 30 years is tired of being bad and wants to do good. I highly recommend it - as of Tuesday is it available on video. Watch it if you get a chance - it's worth your time!

Watch the trailer!!

TINY SERIES: A Tiny Mug

I am super into tiny things. How can you not be? Something that looks exactly like a real, life-sized object but it is so mini you just start to talk in a high pitched voice and get all squirrely. I'm worried that when we have children I will be into their little things way more than normal, like a crazy person. We'll cross that bridge when we get there but for now...check out this tiny cup my mom had at her house. I'm obsessed.

This amazing Etsy shop, Cute Cornwall, SELLS tiny mugs! They are adorable. Check out their shop and look at these amazing colorful Pig mugs.

Milwaukee's Third Ward

Over the holidays, we stayed at my parents house near Milwaukee for a week. It was so wonderful and relaxing! We were also lucky enough to spend an afternoon in Milwaukee's Third Ward. Three highlights I have to share that are absolute musts if you're down there...

1. The Wicked Hop - Named Milwaukee's Best Bloody Mary's 2012Dad wanted to take us all for bloody's - they have almost everything you can imagine on those buggers!

2. Milwaukee Public Market - this place is magical. If you have never visited, please do! This olive oil area of heaven is my absolute favorite. Do you see this?!

3. Broadway Paper  - One of my husbands friends owns this beautiful paper store. It is filled with amazing paper and invites and trinkets! This pantone chair stole my heart.

DIY Valentine Garland

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I wanted to share a easy DIY to dress up your house!

Items you will need: glue, scissors, embroidery floss (I used pinks to fit the theme), pages from an old book and cardstock paper!

Step One: Cut out a bunch of hearts (sets of two) out of all the paper and book pages.

Step Two: Lay one piece of cut out paper on the string. Set them out in a variety of colors and sizes. I also made a few that were circles to add some character!

Step Three: Glue them to the string!

Step Four: Hang them up!

This is a super fun and easy way to make your house full of some Valentine's Day love!
